Yacht Services 		  Just bought a boat? Need a boat moved? Switching from sail to power? Have a spouse who wants to learn to handle the boat?

Gary and Coleen Barger are a husband-and-wife team of U.S. Coast Guard-licensed captains, with over 12,000 miles (we quit counting) of cruising experience, including Inland Rivers and the Great Loop. We believe in safe, sane, and sensible boating, and we will care for your boat just as if it were our own.

  • Yacht delivery service (power only, no sail):

    Yacht delivery from Gulf Coast to Great Lakes (or vice versa!) and anywhere on the Inland Rivers

    Significant and up-to-date river experience on the waters and locks of the Arkansas, Cumberland, Illinois, Mississippi (upper and lower), Ohio, and Tennessee Rivers, and the Tenn-Tom Waterway
     

  • Boat handling instruction:

    Anchoring, Docking & Lines, Basic Navigation, Basic Seamanship, Transiting Locks, Using the VHF Radio
     
  • Cruise planning:

        Planning itineraries, outfitting and provisioning, using cruise guides & charts
